Wildcats open wrestling season with 3-0 sweep

By KARLEY CAULDER The Wildcats wrestling program took the mat Thursday night and won its first three dual meets of the season. EGHS faced Western Alamance, Reagan, and High Point Central. The final scores were. Eastern Guilford 53, Western Alamance 30; Eastern Guilford 56, Reagan 24 and Eastern Guilford 50, High Point Central 24. EGHS wrestlers winning matches were: Jeremiah Chapman (2 wins), Aiden Cyr (3 wins), Devin Ellis (2 wins), Peyton Jenson (3 wins), Nasir Grant (2 wins), Michael Booker (2 wins), Phai B Krong (3 wins), Laye Conneh (3 wins), Soloman Howell, Jeremiah James-Nunes (2 wins), Isaiah Manning (2 wins), Karin Sein (2 wins), Perry Sharpe (2 wins), Eric Ainsworth (1 win), Jacob Vickers (2 wins), and Maurice Williams (1 win). EGHS has another match against McMichael Friday night. Start time is 6 p.m.
